This is optional for you, but history of previous semesters has shown to be very beneficial for students that did it! In terms of learning more and also because their grade went up just by taking notes.

In every lesson, I will attach a video lesson on the topic. The video was made by me and I concentrate specifically on what's need it for that particular lesson.

The idea for taking these notes is to help you understand the lesson and also to make you practice problems and see examples solved step by step.

If you take notes on these video lessons, you will get a %100 as a quiz grade every time I check notes prior to a test.

To get that %100 grade, you are expected to:

- Take notes on ALL the video lessons (sections/chapters) that pertain to the test.

- Take Notes on the whole video. I solve several examples during each video lesson covering different types of problems, therefore I need you to copy all those examples and solve them in your notebooks. It's about practicing solving different types of problems.

- Have the notes for all the sections of the test.

Example: If the test is on chapter 2 and chapter 2 has 5 sections, then the notes will be from those 5 sections. Partial notes or notes from a few sections don't count, this is because I will have to give you partial credit like a %60 or an %80 and that will bring your overall grade down and the idea with these notes is to give you a %100 to help you push your grade UP, not the opposite. So partial notes or notes from only some lessons will not be graded.

Those notes will be checked during the day of a test while you take the test.

You will put bookmarks in your notebook where the lessons are, so I don't have to search all your notebook for the lessons. I can't waste time searching, I have to grade all notebooks in a short period of time so those bookmarks are necessary! I'll give you pieces of paper so you can bookmark the lessons the day before the test. Make sure to have your name written on the cover of your notebook!
